Blood orange with argan and jojoba

Blood orange with argan and jojoba

You smell the orange, yet it isn't overwhelming. A light citrus kick grazes you instantly. Blood orange is for when you want to smell a sweet but not overpowering orange. It's a more intense juicy fresh citrus scent. Sourced from Italy, this member of the citrus clan is a total up-lifter. It had to be added at the top note of the beard oil for its attributes. Its aromatherapy characteristics are found to ease nervous tension and promote a happy mood. Did you know that aromatherapy with orange essential oil appears to reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression? Every other essential oil was thoughtfully added based on both benefits and how well their scent blended with blood orange.

As I blog more, we'll explore the other four oils that have been added to this blend in more detail. The beard oil came out as a trial product for the company. The majority of men don't buy beard oil that much. Yet I wanted to create a product that supported aromatherapy and our hair and skin.

House of Aja's Relax Collection debuts its first aromatherapy beard oil. It took months of research to find the right carrier and essential oils that would make this beard oil stand out from the rest. Let's break down all four of the carriers while discussing some of their known benefits.

Our search for the right carrier oils began with discovering both Argan and Jojoba oils. Argan oil is native to Morocco. It's called liquid gold, not for its color but because of its value. There was a time in society when only the people considered elite could obtain it. Some benefits of using the oil include protection from sun damage, as a skin moisturizer, improving wound heals, treating acne, and has been known to have anti-aging effects. It's known as one of the rare oils in the world.

American Natives discovered the Jojoba seed and began learning its benefits. Jojoba grows in the Southern West of the United States and Northern Mexico. Jojoba is applied directly to the skin for acne, psoriasis, sunburn, and chapped skin. Overall it's moisturizing, antibacterial, an antioxidant, and helps control sebum production. Sebum is the natural oil that our body produces and jojoba oil is the closest oil to our natural oil. Hence, your body will know not to produce extra oil when jojoba is applied.

Even though Argan and Jojoba oils aren't the lightest oils, they aren't the heaviest either. To allow for easy absorption Grapeseed and Sunflower oils have been added to our recipe. These light oils are absorbed more quickly into the skin than others, giving the user a smooth and natural layer of skin protection. Grapeseed helps the vitamin E and vitamin C in your skin to be more effective. Benefits known for its use have been, tightening pores, healing acne, reducing the appearance of scars, and moisturizing your skin.

Sunflower oil is the lightest of the 4 in this blend, so it also won't clog your pores and will be absorbed by the skin at a faster rate. The oil helps the skin to keep its moisture while leaving a protective barrier. When this happens smooth, soft, healthy skin is the result. This oil is rich in Beta-Carotene which the body converts to Vitamin A, which is known to have a ton of benefits for the skin!

The overall combination of these oils balanced at a specifically measured portion of each will feel much different than other products when applied to your hair and skin. These along with the essential oils blended should be made for a King. Give The King's Beard Oil a try and let us know how it works for you by leaving a comment below.
